						  							  mylan["1234psDesc1"]="This room was both Georgina's and her daughter Eleanor's. The grandfather clock was inherited from a McDougall aunt, May Ross, Mrs. George Ross. Eleanor Luxton (1908-1995) chose the paintings that include more modern works, in addition to those by her mother, Jimmy Simpson, and R.H. Palenske. Eleanor was a teacher, a writer, an industrial draftsperson, and a competent businesswoman. She attended the University of Alberta, where she obtained a B.A. in history and English, and then a M.A. in history. She later studied engineering at McGill University. She had a great passion for history. Originally published in 1971 she edited her father's diaries of this Pacific Crossing, a work that was reissued in 2002 as Tilikum: Luxton's Pacific Crossing. She also wrote Banff .Canada's First National Park. A History and a Memory of Rocky Mountains Park (1974), the second edition of which appeared in 2008.";
